Mercy’s annual Father Daughter Golf Outing was held on May 9 at Bay Pointe Golf Club in West Bloomfield.

“My dad and I decided to do the golf outing because we did it last year,” said sophomore Jenny O’Brien, “and it was a great chance to hang out with friends and their dads.”

The event started at 12:30 and students and their dads played a nine-hole scramble. In a scramble, everyone in the foursome receive the same score. Dinner was served after the round of golf.

“There was no winner!” said O’Brien. “We played a scramble and it was all for fun.”

Many students who have played in the outing in the past were upset that they could not participate this year.

“I had prom that day so I couldn’t play in the Golf Outing with my dad,” said senior Sarah Montone. “I was really upset that I couldn’t play.”

Overall, students enjoyed the day with their dads.

“The best part was being able to spend time with the friends and their dads while doing something other than the usual daddy daughter dance or any other father daughter function,” said O’Brien. “We had a great time and recommend it to everyone!”
