Take me out to a Mercy High School softball game, because this season Mercy Varsity Softball is on fire. This past weekend, the varsity softball team won the Mattawan Tournament. Not only did the Marlins play phenomenally, but they beat some of the best teams in the state, including the #1 team.

“We came together well this weekend and hit the crap out of the ball,” said senior captain Alex Sobczak. “This weekend was a prequel for what is in store for our team.”

The team is now ranked #1 in the state and hopes that in the end, the Marlins will win the state championship.
