The varsity softball team defeated their catholic league rival the Ladywood Blazers on May 6th. The Marlins swept the Blazers with a two game sweep. Mercy took the first game with an 11-1 win, and won the second game 10-6. Sophomore, Abby Kryzwiecki was the winning ace in both games. Alex Sobczak had two homeruns and Kryzwiecki one. The Marlins will next take on Ladywood on May 8th at Ladywood. This is the last time the two teams will meet before the post-season. Both teams are neck-in-neck for the first place position heading into the playoffs. Come support the Marlins as they attempt to put out the blaze for the second time!
