In honor of Thanksgiving, student government organized Mercy’s first ever “Friendsgiving” event. Each grade level met in a different part of the school. Students from each grade brought a variety of snacks for their peers to enjoy. Teachers and members of student government helped serve food and clean up. This 20-minute, potluck-style celebration allowed students to eat and socialize with their classmates. The festivities were accompanied by music. Many Mercy girls took this opportunity to have fun with their friends by singing and dancing, while others chose to relax and de-stress. Student government may have started an annual Mercy tradition that very well could be cherished for years to come.
