The iWizards met to discuss their plans for the second annual iCreate workshop on Nov. 12 in the Baggot Street conference room.  Last year, the iWizards teamed up with the Art Dept. to organize the event for prospective seventh and eighth graders interested in Mercy.  The girls were split into two groups, iMovie and Photogene, as well as Animation HD and ArtRage, to take pictures or create their own works of art while learning a bit about what apps Mercy girls use daily. Junior Amelia Bartels has high expectations for her group, Animation HD and ArtRage.

“This year we are trying to create a smoother presentation,” said Bartels. “This will allow the girls to have more time to work with their apps and create a more complete project.”

Bartels is also looking forward to interacting with the girls and sharing her knowledge of the art apps.

“I hope that the girls attending are excited and eager to learn about the apps, just like the girls who attended last year,” said Bartels.

This year’s iCreate workshop will be held on January 23, 2016.  If you would like to participate, contact Associate Principal Mr. Larry Baker for more information.
