The SUDANce Marathon proved to be successful, raising $1,583.  Additional funds are expected to be collected in the upcoming week from pledges and donations.  All proceeds will benefit girls attending a Mercy-sponsored school in Sudan.

Participants embraced the ’80s theme, sporting leotards, leg warmers, and neon colors.  Attendees danced the evening away to ’80s classics as well as modern top hits. Senior Emily Crowley, a raffle basket winner, said she loved the SUDANce.

“The ’80s theme, throwback songs, and crazy dance moves made the SUDANce one of my favorite nights of the year,” Crowley said. “Whoever wasn’t there missed out on a really great time.”
