How Well Do You Know Mercy?

Could you figure out where the pictures of the rooms on the map of the school were located? Check your answers here.

A.) Prayer/Reflection Rooms in Chapel: Every Mercy student is required to take religion classes, but Mercy offers other ways to get in touch with your spiritual side.  A reflection room in the chapel contains prayer cards and books, and everyone is welcome for some quiet prayer or reflection

B.) Art Room by E-Hall: Did you know there are actually two art rooms in the school? In the hallway connecting the reception area with the E-Hall, there is another art room primarily used for ceramics classes.

C.) Practice Choir Rooms: Want to test out your vocal chords or practice your piano-playing skills? The
Drama Department houses multiple private practice rooms connected to the choir room in the Drama Hall for you to practice away.  Last year, the Tri-M Music Honor Society painted each of these rooms a different color!

D.) Pastoral Team Room: The Pastoral Team Room is where Carol Mac and Judy Dennis work to promote the Mercy Values.  The team involves both students and staff alike.  They plan retreats, school masses, service opportunities and much more.

E.) “Rat Hole” Swim Team Room: Called the “Rat Hole,” the swim team has their own team room located near the pool.  Each team member has a personal space where she can put her swimsuits, goggles, and other items, with her last name written above the cubbies.  This is where our beloved team gets pumped for their competitive swim meets.

F.) Weight Room: The weight room is used for physical education classes like Advanced Swim/Weight Training, and by many of Mercy’s sports teams.  Students are not allowed in the weight room without the supervision of an authorized adult.
