Mercy High School’s International Thespian Society celebrated its 16th annual induction and awards ceremony Wednesday night in the Drama Studio. The troupe’s seven current members were honored, and 26 new members were inducted into the troupe. The president of the troupe, senior Maggie Malaney, began the event with a welcome, followed by a prayer of St. Genesius said by the vice president, senior Sarah Kmeicik. Mrs. Kathleen Sill and Mrs. Anne Eddy presented a summary of the origin of theater and ITS. After the installation of the troupe’s officers and the induction of the new members, all ITS members recited the ITS pledge during a short candle ceremony.
