It is that time of year again when posters and trinkets fill the Mercy halls; yes, elections are in full swing to decide the Student Council Officers for the 2011-2012 school year.
From a pool of 15 Junior candidates, Tuesday’s primaries determined the remaining seven. Audrey Cords and Mimi Norwood now vie for President. Running for the Vice President position is Emily Schearer and Elaina Weber. The secretary candidates include Hanel Cho and Alex Abowd. Finally, Laura Williams runs unopposed for the position of Treasurer.
The final elections and speeches will be held in the gymnasium next Tuesday April 19th. Congratulations and good luck to all candidates.
