Review: The Grace Card

“I promise to pray for you every day, ask your forgiveness, grant you the same, and be your friend always.” These are the words of the Grace Card.  This inspiring Christian film about repentance and redemption leaves you feeling touched by God’s grace and your eyes filled with tears.

The death of their first-born son 17 years earlier leaves a cop, Mac McDonald, and his family trying to cope with regret, anger, and bitterness.  Family bonds are tested and new struggles evolve.  Officer McDonald also has to deal with a new partner who happens to be a minister.  This dysfunctional partnership turns into an emotionally moving friendship and both police officers learn to both extend and receive God’s grace.

This is one of those must-see movies that has a great moral lesson.  It reminds us that it is never too late to forgive and rebuild relationships.  If you have seen and enjoyed movies such as Bella or Fireproof,  then this movie is for you.  I guarantee that if your heart is open to appreciating the inspiring message that this movie offers, you won’t be disappointed.
