Mercy Students participated in club meeting day on Thursday October 2nd. 14 different student lead clubs met around the building to present the first meeting of the year.
“What didn’t we do,” Senior Fishbowl leader Theresa Fras said. “We first introduced ourselves because a lot of the freshmen don’t know who we are. Then we had a starbucks giftcard giveaway. Then we passed out crumbl to everybody, and then everybody took a piece of paper and designed fishbowl merch.”
Along with Fishbowl, students can attend Animal Rights Club, Art Club, BASE, FEMClub, GREEN club, Healthy Habits, Peace Club, Performing Arts Club/International Thespian Society, Pre-Med Club, Pro-Life Club, Science Club, and Team One Love.
“It’s just such a positive part of the school,” Healthy Habits moderator Mrs. Groves said.
Club meeting days give Mercy girls a break from the chaos of the day, while adding an extra curricular activity that can help develop more relationships in the community.
”It was so fun for everyone and I think it was a really good icebreaker for people to meet within the club, like in different grades,” Fras said.
