Homework. Studying. Preparing. These are how students at Mercy High School choose to spend their off hours. For the freshman, it’s making slime. The Mercy Link Crew brought back the mini social slime making on Jan. 29th, 2025.
Freshman came in during their off hours to spend time with their fellow classmates and participate in slime making. Mercy Link Crew led this event and it seemed to be a success.
“It’s really fun for the freshman, they are able to take a break during the day and be with their friends,” senior Link Crew Leader Sophie Derkevorkian said. “Making slime I feel like is a stress relief and an opportunity for them to have fun in between classes.”
The freshman thought the same and seemed to enjoy their time.
“It brings me back to my childhood,” freshman Ellery Bennetts said. “It’s a fun way to bond with your friends,”
Other link crew activities included making friendship bracelets, vision boards, holiday cookies, hosting trunk or treat, and cocoa and cram.
