The Mercy Varsity Field Hockey team played Ann Arbor Huron October 15th and tied 0-0 in a nail-biting game. This match was extremely remarkable to watch because Ann Arbor Huron is ranked second in the state. Despite Huron’s high ranking, the Marlins held their ground and didn’t let anything get past them.
“We always lose to [Huron], every single year… and last time when we played them, early on in the season, we lost 0-4,” said senior Rachel Esper. “I don’t think we’ve ever tied in recent years. So it was awesome because they’re just so good!”
The Marlins played Sacred Heart in the Catholic League game and lost 1-2 on October 11th. Sacred Heart went on to play Marian in the finals and Marian came out on top.
The Marlins have had a great season, putting many hours into making this season both exciting and memorable.
