Mercy hockey takes L-town down
Mercy Varsity Hockey defeated the Livonia United team with a score of 7-5 on Monday February 18. The first period was tight and Livonia led by 2 goals. The girls played hard and made a comeback to secure the lead in the second and third periods. With a fiery crowd of supporters, the Marlins were able to keep the intensity and energy up until the end. Their strong defense and ability to communicate as a team also helped to produce their big win. Since their incredible win against Livonia, the hockey team has gone undefeated in their league and now face the challenge of the state championship tournament. Last season, they were knocked out during the semi finals and are now looking to redeem themselves and hopefully take title of state champions.
