The newly formed Mercy Varsity Soccer team recently experienced a disappointing change of plans. This past weekend, the team was scheduled to compete in a tournament consisting of various high school teams. The Varsity squad was lined up to face such powerhouses as Northville and Canton. After a week full of strenuous tryouts, the girls were looking forward to a chance to play the game.
Unfortunately, after an unexpected 3 inches of snow, the tournament was rescheduled for next weekend.
“I was really disappointed,” said sophomore Taylor Babcock, “but I can’t wait until next weekend.”
We’ll have to wait and see how the Marlins perform in the near future!
Look for the girls as they take on Farmington High School Tuesday, March 19th.
