Mercy Varsity Hockeyset a great pace for the team’s upcoming season when they defeated the Bloomfield Knighthawks 8-0 by the end of the third period on Wednesday night.

“We were expecting a win,” said right wingman and Mercy senior Rachel Bomya. “I knew we would get on to the ice and kick butt.”

The Marlins’ next game is at Arctic Edge in Canton on Saturday, December 1st. The game will take place at 7:30 p.m. against the Plymouth Canton Salem (PCS) Penguins.

“I am worried about Saturday,” said Bomya. “It’s a huge rivalry–we lost States to them last year. I’m just hoping we win.”
