“The state meet was a great way to end the season,” said sophomore Allysen Eads.
The Mercy Marlin Cross Country team ended the season with a bang. The team, consisting of only two upperclassmen, spent the season rebuilding last year’s powerful team. After months of practice, the team was able to send Eads to the state competition. She finished with a time of 19 minutes and 36 seconds, closely following her personal record of 19 minutes and 16 seconds.
“I personally felt very accomplished and it was an exciting and new way to end the season,” said Eads.
