Mercy celebrates Black History Month in February every year as a school community. Something that students look forward to every year is the Black History Month Assembly that is organized by the Human Relations Council (HRC). This is an opportunity for students to come together and share African American history in a fun and informative way. This year, the girls portrayed black women who have made huge strides in strengthening their culture. They used the phrase “Women did, women will” to drive home their point that women will continue to change the world.
