Mercy High School students are taking the opportunity to start new healthy habits in 2025. Whether it’s adding more to their schedule or taking away, students work to improve their daily lives.
Additions to some Mercy students’ lives included making their bodies healthier.
“My New Year’s resolution was to work out more and to fulfill my goal of getting stronger arms and more defined legs,” Freshman Julia Harris said.
Some students decided to reduce unhealthy habits to better their lives. Some wanted to procrastinate less while others felt they were on their phone too much.
“To have less than a three hour screen time…it’s not going too good, but I have atracker going so hopefully it’ll get better,” Sophomore Hope Carmona said.
Implementing isn’t always as easy as it seems. Keeping up with their goals and sticking with them is the most difficult part.
“To drink more water…it’s not going too good, I haven’t even finished my water today yet,” Sophomore Harshitha Arvapalli said.
New Year’s resolutions aren’t for everyone. Some students think their lives would be less stressful without one.
“I didn’t have one. I’m too busy to have one,” Freshman Colleen Shaw said.
