On Friday August 22nd, Mercy High School had some unfamiliar guests roaming around the hallways from 8:00am to 11:00am. Middle schoolers from central locations were able to come in and experience Mercy’s very first Sisterhood day. The girls got to learn about Mercy and what we have to offer, like going on a tour, going class to class, and learning about their various arts.
Admissions Office Director, Colleen Kogut, describes why she and the Admissions team decided to make this day possible, “Younger students can’t really shadow and we wanted to give the middle schoolers a taste of what Mercy is like” Kogut said.
The ultimate goal of Sisterhood Day is to give the Middle Schoolers an insight on Mercy and what to expect if they chose to come years down the road. To reflect the Mercy Core Values, the school had positive and kind attitudes throughout the morning. It helped 7th grade Mia Kolb grow her excitement to come to Mercy.
“I am excited to go to Mercy because I made new friends and the teachers are welcoming” Kolb said.
