Fifteen Mercy students traveled to Ireland this summer to visit the original home of the Sisters of Mercy.

The students, along with Pastoral Director Mrs. Judi Griggs-Dennis, a parent chaperone, and three students from Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock, AR, traveled to Dublin to attend the Young Mercy Leaders Pilgrimage and Conference. The conference predominantly took place at Mercy International Centre– the famed original home and charity center of Catherine McAuley and the first Sisters of Mercy. The students also stopped in their tour guide’s hometown of Sneem to visit the local senior center as part of a service project, as well as to participate in mass at the local church.
