Mercy’s Quiz Bowl team had a successful meet this past Tuesday at Detroit Country Day. This was the team’s second meet of the new year and second meet before its championships in Hartland. The novice team beat Country Day 235-50. The J.V. team beat Brother Rice 220-35 and Shrine Catholic High School 180-95. Mercy’s Varsity Gold team beat U of D 110-45, and Varsity Maroon beat Shrine 130-60 and U of D 50-30. Quiz Bowl coach and moderator Ms. Katy Koskela commented that the season has, so far, been successful. As for the season’s last meet later this month and tournaments at Michigan State University and U of M in the spring, Ms. Koskela remains positive.

“All the teams are hopeful that they will do well, be brilliant, answer quickly, and most importantly, have fun,” said Ms. Koskela.
