During the most recent Tri-M meeting, moderator Mrs. Amy Malaney encouraged members of the Music Honor Society to be more involved in the club. With two important fundraisers approaching – the poinsettia fundraiser and the Christmas bake sale – and few scheduled volunteers, the girls were reminded that they must be active members to achieve the club’s goals.
Mrs. Malaney pointed out that without sufficient participation, some of the members’ favorite club activities may not be possible. Tri-M usually puts much of its fundraising money toward a field trip, such as past visits to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
Members responded to the participation push at the Christmas bake sale. Almost every member contributed in some way, either donating or selling baked goods. It seems that club activities may be possible for Tri-M after all.
