Come see Mercy’s latest musical production, Hello, Dolly! this weekend, March 18th, 19th, and 20th. Tickets are $10 for students and children and $12 for adults.
The show features many of the school’s talents as well as 10 of Mercy’s very own male teachers singing and dancing.
Set in the 1890s, Hello, Dolly! presents the classic story of the fabulous, familiar character Dolly Levi (Veronica Battersby) matchmaking in New York. Throughout the story, love fills the air when the young and quirky Cornelius Hackl falls for the beautiful widow Irene Molloy, (Alyson McAdams) while Dolly sets her efforts on marrying Horace Vandergelder, the well-known half-a-millionaire.
There is never a dull moment with the happy scenes, beautiful sets and the show stopping numbers including, Put On Your Sunday Clothes, Before the Parade Passes By, Elegance, and Hello Dolly.
According to senior student director Caroline Powers, “This show has such a talented cast and hard working crew that we all come together to perform such an up-beat, humorous, memorable show.”
