Rihanna’s growing empire

Robyn Rihanna Fenty, also known by her stage name Rihanna, has been the topic of almost every media post since the launch of her makeup line, Fenty Beauty in 2017. Many celebrities have launched their own makeup lines, but no artist has been as successful as Rihanna. Earlier this month, Rihanna announced she will be releasing a visual autobiography, which she has been working on for five years. The book is titled Rihanna and will be released on October 24.

According to an article by Rolling Stone, the book is 504 pages and contains 1,000 photos that showcase her life. The book will start with her childhood in Barbados and follow her throughout her music and business careers as well as show intimate moments with family and friends. The book is meant to illustrate Rihanna’s different personas as a performer, designer, musician, and entrepreneur.

Sophomore Carissa Hodges thinks the book is an amazing idea, but she is more excited about Rihanna’s new album.

“I’m expecting [the album] to be good because she had the time to really work on it,” said Hodges.

Rihanna’s last album, ANTI, was released in January of 2016. Since then, Rihanna has been teasing about her newest album with short videos on Instagram and promising that it will be released this year. It’s obvious her focus has been on other projects like her lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, that had its first fashion show last month and featured artists like Big Sean, Normani, Hasley, and models of different sizes and colors.
