Every superhero movie contains some aspect of comedy, action, or drama. However, Marvel’s first even women-led superhero film, Captain Marvel, combines all of these and put them into one movie. The movie is very well directed and the acting is top notch. With Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, the movie has earned $760 million worldwide.

Captain Marvel debuted in theaters on March 6. According to Vox, in the first week it earned $455 million worldwide. In the second week, it made an estimated $69.3 million in the U.S and $120 million internationally. It is currently ranked number 13 of most popular superhero movies in the U.S. and is expected to reach the top soon.

Captain Marvel is about a Kree warrior named Carol Danvers, who identifies herself as a Kree, but later finds out that her whole life has been a lie; she is actually from Earth and had a career as a pilot. As the movie goes on, she realizes who she truly is and fights against any kind of trouble there is, even when you do not expect it.

Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, does an amazing job creating a character that was not liked by many because she is a woman. Her acting is phenomenal and so is the directing and special effects; the explosions seem very real. Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Nick Fury, is de-aged for the movie. Because the movie isĀ  sett in the 90s, he was forced to look younger than in other Marvel movies and the makeup artists pulled it off. Supporting actors and actresses include Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Annette Bening and Lashana Lynch.

However, the movie drags in the beginning, but very quickly makes up for it through the rest of the movie. Even though it drags a little in the beginning, the combination of comedy, drama, and a lot of action create a well-done superhero movie for all ages to enjoy.
