It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

As fluffy white snow gracefully drifts towards the ground, it’s surely tempting to flip the radio to songs like “Jingle Bells” and “Frosty the Snowman”.  Starbucks and many other coffee shops have already picked up on this holiday spirit as it starts to set out its red Christmas-themed cups. Recently, Starbucks started to promote its seasonal flavors with different deals. From Nov. 12 through Nov. 16, Starbucks is offering a buy one get one free deal for any of their holiday drinks.

Senior Jenny O’Brien goes to Starbucks at least one to two times a week and usually gets a single shot of espresso and also iced black tea lemonade. She found about the Holiday drink deal on twitter.

“I think it is a great promotion, especially considering how high their prices are,” said O’Brien.

While Starbucks has both a normal menu and a holiday menu, it also has a ‘secret’ menu. This menu can be found online at starbuckssecretmenu.net. On this menu,  there are more Frappuccinos, lattes, and other drink flavors that are not on the normal menu. To get one of the special drinks, the customer only has to ask for it. Anyone can receive the flavors year round for the most part, but not all Starbuck stores accept the secret menu orders due to the ingredients.

“I love the holiday drinks,” said O’Brien. “They get me even more excited for Christmas. If it is advertised properly, it has the potential to generate so many new customers.”
