Take me out to the ball game!
Junior Taylor Barrow is already there. Her years spent on Mercy High School’s varsity softball team have been cherished. Barrow has been playing softball since she was a little girl. Her love for the game grew when she entered high school.
“My team is as much my life as softball is,” said Barrow. “Without them, I don’t know how I would play.”
A lot of training is necessary to build strength for the game. Pitchers need a strong arm and all players need well-developed hand-eye-coordination. Barrow spends a lot of time in the weight room and eating healthy.
“Preparing to play the game is hard,” said Barrow. “Playing is the fun part.”
Along with softball, Barrow has an interest in science. Her dream is to attend Brown University and become a surgeon.
