Spanish Honor Society has made several changes to the “B” club this year. The teachers and student moderators strive to give students a diverse cultural experience, and did just that by adding cooking classes to the mix last Monday.
Students made arepas, or Hispanic corn-meal “pancakes.” The recipe and directions are listed below:
1. Mix 2.5 cups of warm water with 1 teaspoon of cold water.
2. Put 2 cups of bread flour (or pan) into the bowl.
3. Mix all ingredients together until it forms a paste-like consistency.
4. Cook for 3 minutes per side on a hot griddle.
¡Buen provecho!
