Mercy’s Pompon team impressed at the Catholic High School League Jamboree this weekend. The team performed a pom routine against many other Catholic high schools with pom and dance teams.
Mercy earned points at the Jamboree that will go toward the Catholic League competition this winter.
In case you missed the Jamboree, Mercy’s Pompon team will have plenty of performances in the future.
“We usually perform pretty regularly at varsity basketball games,” said junior Reanna Husaynu. “We’re preparing right now for regionals in January.”
The team hopes to do well at competitions this year, but is focusing on strengthening their team.
“Since we’re just building our team, we’re just trying our best,” explained Husaynu. “We don’t expect to win states or anything, but we’re trying our hardest.”
