On Friday, September 12 Mercy High School held their annual Club Expo in the gym. This year students were offered 14 choices of mandatory clubs and 33 clubs that are out of school. From HOSA to Spirit Choir, there are definitely enough clubs and one for everyone.
For club leaders, Club Expo days look different. Their days leading up to it include preparation of posters and buying candy. One leader of Hispanic Heritage Association of Students shares her experience about the day.
“I think it went pretty well, I’m a little drained, but it was fun and I liked it,” Junior Eva Lapham said. “Our station was very successful.”
For freshmen, their first Club Expo took place. The gym was filled with many emotions, music, and lots of talking and explaining about various clubs. Overall, the feedback was positive.
“I think it was good,” Freshman Sloan Hale said. “It was kind of overstimulated, but I got a lot of candy and I joined a lot of cool clubs.”
