The Mercy Marlins hockey team played tough in a game against the Plymouth Canton Salem (PCS) hockey team on Thursday, March 12. The game consisted of many saves by junior goalie Katy Kouvaris. Sophomore Amelia Bartels and senior Maddie Jones each had multiple breakaways, but the one-on-one shots were blocked. A goal for Mercy was scored four minutes into the second period by senior captain Anna Julien and was assisted by sophomore Emily McCann. McCann scored Mercy’s second and final goal with 2 minutes remaining in the game. Kouvaris saved all shots by the PCS players, ending the game in a 2-0 win for the Marlins.
