Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, and many more colored bracelets were available to the freshmen on November 21, when they joined Link Crew at the Best Friends Forever Bracelet Making (B.F.F.B.M.) event. All freshmen were welcome to join their Link Leaders in the South Alcove to make their own bracelets from 7:45 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors were welcome to join Link Crew as long as they brought another freshman along with them.
Overall, the event was a huge success and many girls enjoyed the opportunity to relieve some stress during the end of the semester cram. The event was also a great opportunity to meet new people and bond with the link leaders.
“I heard a lot of feedback that it was a great stress reliever, a relaxing way to spend an off-hour!” said Freshman Counselor Trish Brown.
It was easy to hear the laughter while walking down the hallways and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Many students enjoyed the activity, including freshman Natalie Forster.
“I think Link Crew should do it again because it worked better as an event during school than after school,” said Forster.
Link Crew is readily preparing for even more activities for the freshmen to participate in. The next Link Crew event is Glowga, otherwise known as glow in the dark yoga. This event is taking place on December 3rd from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the afternoon. Both Ms. Callan and Ms. Jamieson are offering the freshmen a make-up day for Swim/Gym if they attend Glowga.
