Another successful auction in the books

Held at the beautiful Farmington Hills Manor, the 38th annual Mercy Auction was help on Feb. 18. Mercy parents, staff, and alumnae all came together to support the school. The evening started with silent bidding on over 12 tables of items, which ranged from home goods, such as quilts and throws, to jewelry and dresses. Perhaps the highlight of the night was the announcement of Witte’s Wish, an annual goal created by Principal Mrs. Carolyn Witte. This year, her wish was to transform the storage space in the lobby into a concession stand fully equipped with a sink, a refrigerator, and cabinets. Deafening applause erupted as one generous donor gave the entire $25,000 needed to make Witte’s Wish a reality. Throughout the night, donors continued to bid for various prizes during the live auction. Prizes included one year’s tuition at University of Detroit Mercy and Red Wings tickets.
